7th International Day of Yoga was held at Tokyo Skytree

An event celebrating the 7th International Day of Yoga was held at Tokyo Skytree by Yoga Organization of Japan and Tobu Tower Skytree Co., Ltd. in association with Embassy of India, Tokyo. The Tokyo Skytree is a broadcasting and observation tower in Sumida, Tokyo. At a height of 634 metres, it is the tallest tower in the world and is one of the most iconic landmarks of Tokyo. During the opening ceremony, H.E. Sanjay Kumar Verma, Ambassador of India to Japan gave the inaugural remarks, followed by speeches by Japanese dignitaries including Mr Hakubun Shimomura, Member of the House of Representatives (LDP) and President of the Parliamentary League for the Promotion of Yoga; Mr Hiroshi Yamada, Member of the House of Councillors (LDP) and Secretary-General of the Parliamentary League for Promotion of Yoga; Mr. Yutaka Iwase, Chairman & President of Tobu Tower Skytree Co., Ltd.; and, Mr. Motohiro Nozu, Director of the Yoga Organization of Japan and President of Nippon Kabaya Ohayo Holdings.Inc. This was followed by a yoga session on the observatory deck of Tokyo Skytree located at a height of 450m above the ground. Ambassador; Shri Mayank Joshi, DCM; and Prof. Siddharth Singh, Director, Vivekananda Cultural Centre, took part in the session and interacted with dignitaries and personalities including Ms Maria Kanaya, awardee of Miss World Japan 2020. Social distancing, disinfection and other COVID-19 prevention protocols were observed during the event.

東京スカイツリーにて一般社団法人全日本ヨガ連盟及び東武タワースカイツリー株式会社が開催した、第7回「国際ヨガの日」祝賀イベントにインド大使館が参加しました。東京スカイツリーは高さ634メートルを誇る世界一高い電波塔であり、東京屈指のランドマークです。開会式にて、サンジェイ・クマール・ヴァルマ駐日インド大使閣下が大使館を代表して挨拶を行いました。これに続き、ヨガ推進議員連盟会長

日本カバヤ・オハヨーホールディングス代表取締役社長 が各々スピーチを行いました。この後、地上450メートルの高さに位置するスカイツリーの展望デッキにおいて、ヨガセッションが行われました。大使、マヤンク・ジョシ首席公使、並びにシッダールト・シンVCC所長がヨガに参加し、ミス・ワールド2020日本代表金谷鞠杏氏等、来賓の方々と交流しました。本イベント中は、ソーシャル・ディスタンス、消毒等、各種COVIDー19万延防止対策が実施されました。
