Build heat and open your body with this quick, classic energizing yoga flow! Sun Salutations, also known as Surya Namaskar, are a great practice to elevate your heart rate while strengthening + stretching your entire body. This flow is beneficial to do first thing in the morning or before a workout. The class starts in Child's pose cultivating Ujjayi breathing and then we'll enter into Tabletop for a few rounds of Cat/Cow to warm-up. Then we'll move to some half sun salutations followed by a few rounds of Sun Salutation A + Sun Salutation B. We'll wind down with a standing forward fold, malasana and a seated twist. You won't need any props for this class. Please modify and take breaks if you need to! This class is designed for you to practice on a daily basis to help build up strength overtime. This is a vinyasa flow (fast paced practice) ideal for intermediate students! Sun Salutations are meant to be practiced in one breath per movement to elevate the heart rate.
