Consulate General of India, Sao Paulo and Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre celebrated International Day of Yoga 2021 today with a small gathering of students at the premises of SVCC, Sao Paulo.

Consul General, Mr. Amit Kumar Mishra gave the opening remarks for the event and highlighted the growing significance of Yoga in the last few years. Consul General's address was followed by classical Indian dance performance by Bharatnatyam dance Guru, Iara Ananda Romano. Ms. Iara presented the `Nava Rasa Padam` or the expression of Nine emotions.

Consulate General of India, Vancouver partnered with Happiness Wellness Yoga and BC Super Kings Sports Club, Vancouver to mark the 7th International Day of Yoga 2021- Yoga for Wellness. A yoga demonstration event was organized at the Newton Athletic Park in the City of Surrey where Consul General Mr Manish and Consul Mr. Manjish Grover participated along with other yoga enthusiasts. Yoga guru Ms. Tarana Kaur of Happiness Wellness Yoga conducted the common yoga protocol with groups of 15 participants each in keeping with the city’s Covid-19 protocols.

EoI, Copenhagen celebrated the 7th International Day of Yoga 2021 across Denmark in Odense, Aalborg, Aarhus, Fanø & Sønderborg partnering with local yoga groups and Indian diaspora.  The events were streamed online across Mission’s social media platform.

Celebrations of 7th International Day of Yoga in Cameroon. H.E. Mr. Felix Mbayu, Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations and in-charge of Commonwealth (Acting Minister of External Relations) was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The event was attended by Yoga enthusiasts in Cameroon including senior officials from Ministry of External Relations and Diplomats in Yaounde.

On this occasion a photo exhibition India's Free Fighters was also inaugurated jointly by the Minister Delegate and the High Commissioner.

“योग विज्ञान है” – ओशो

 योग विज्ञान है, विश्वास नहीं। योग की अनुभूति के लिए किसी तरह की श्रद्धा आवश्यक नहीं है। योग का इस्लाम, हिंदू, जैन या ईसाई से कोई संबंध नहीं है। 

जिन्हें हम धर्म कहते हैं वे विश्वासों के साथी हैं। योग विश्वासों का नहीं है, जीवन सत्य की दिशा में किए गए वैज्ञानिक प्रयोगों की सूत्रवत प्रणाली है। इसलिए पहली बात मैं आपसे कहना चाहूंगा वह यह कि  योग विज्ञान है, विश्वास नहीं। योग की अनुभूति के लिए किसी तरह की श्रद्धा आवश्यक नहीं है। योग के प्रयोग के लिए किसी तरह के अंधेपन की कोई जरूरत नहीं है।

नास्तिक भी योग के प्रयोग में उसी तरह प्रवेश पा सकता है जैसे आस्तिक। योग नास्तिक-आस्तिक की भी चिंता नहीं करता है। विज्ञान आपकी धारणाओं पर निर्भर नहीं होता; विपरीत, विज्ञान के कारण आपको अपनी धारणाएं परिवर्तित करनी पड़ती हैं। कोई विज्ञान आपसे किसी प्रकार के बिलीफ, किसी तरह की मान्यता की अपेक्षा नहीं करता है। विज्ञान सिर्फ प्रयोग की, एक्सपेरिमेंट की अपेक्षा करता है।
