How Yoga Mudra works can be understood using this simple analogy.

Consider, the human body an electrical circuit in which current (energy) is flowing through wires (Nadis of the body). These wires (Nadis) connects the different parts of the electrical circuit (body organs). There are 5 main terminals (5 elements described above) of this circuit which either begin or end in hands or feet.

When you hold or press a particular finger in yoga mudra, corresponding energy center or gland stimulates in the brain (Power supplier of the circuit). In this way, the brain got a signal to alter the energy pattern within the body & it does it by regulating Prana flow.
